Hi! My name is Haley, and I am a middle school musician. I decided to create this blog to write about the strategies and varieties of music that I experience. I find that music is very calming and fun to play, which is why I try to create and spend time playing my instruments in the comfort of my home. I have participated in all county bands, jazz bands, and school bands for over 5 years. I now play two instruments which you can learn more about below. My number one goal in this blog is to truly have fun and look back at my journey as a musician.
Brass & Soul
The trumpet is my main instrument that I have been playing for about 6 years. I remember briefly talking about how cool the trumpet seemed then one evening my mom came home with a trumpet in her hands. This changed my life. I love to perform the trumpet in all of my bands, auditions, and competitions. The trumpet will always be my main instrument despite the other intriguing instruments in the musical world.
Low Notes, Big Impact
Let’s not forget about my newly discovered passion–the bass guitar. This is a new instrument for me which I asked and received for Christmas last year. It’s a completely new idea of music for me and it’s very exciting to learn. I’m going to be explaining my new discoveries in this blog as I continue to play this low instrument.
